Citrus Lane

Have you heard about Citrus Lane? A company tag line is “The savviest goodies for your kids, delivered monthly to your door.” This company’s concept is really neat. No more trying to figure out what gear or toys you should buy your child at each stage of development. Citrus Lane takes the guess work out of shopping and sends you a box every month filled with neat baby gear and toys.

If you want more details on how it works, check out their How it Works page. I haven’t tried out their service yet, but with almost 40,000 likes on Facebook and rave reviews, it’s definitely a service to keep in mind. This would make a great baby gift for someone especially since they would get a neat present every month for as long as you’d like to continue the subscription and at $25/mo it’d be a great group gift.

Has anyone tried out Citrus Lane?

I have not been compensated in any way for my review of this company. I was not asked to do a review nor have I tried this company out myself as of yet.

Making Traveling Easier

Summer will be here before we know it and summer usually means family vacations. Thinking about traveling with small children can be very daunting. Last summer, we took our then 4 yr old and 6 month old on a road trip (yes, we drove) from Texas to New York. The trip turned out to be not so bad as we stopped along the way at interesting places like The Crayola Factory and anywhere we could find a park around meal time.

One of the hardest tasks in getting ready for the trip was figuring out what to bring! We had a car, so we were able to bring toys, a pack n play, lots of diapers, snacks, etc. But what if we had been on an airplane? Did we really want to haul a stroller, crib, toys, etc.? It’s hard enough juggling two kids through an airport as it is! And car seats! I’ve heard horror stories about ones from rental companies.

What is the solution? A baby gear rental company. There are quite a few springing up lately. I’ve not personally had a chance to use one but the rates are reasonable and the items are guaranteed to be clean, up to date, recall free and age appropriate. Some companies do have a minimal rental amount of about $50 which could just be low enough to save you from a headache. The items appear at the hotel waiting for you in most cases.

Travel BaBees is nation wide.

Baby’s Away is now in 30 states and more than 70 cities.

Ciao Baby, a very new company, serves the seacoast of Maine.

Tampa Bay Bay Rentals is just in Tampa Bay and surrounding cities.

These are just a few of the companies that will help your summer travels seems less stressful and make them more relaxing like they should be.
